Love Town Poetry
She lay in the cornfield
Sun-freckled face dappled in the shadows of the corn above her
Damp mud and clover between her toes
Breathless she lay
Watching the clouds on the blue sky
Yellow braid loose, stray hairs framing rosy cheeks
A butterfly flutters
The wind carries the ring of cowbells
And the scent of spring
Tomorrow she is 13
Cinderella, dressed in yella...
How long until Prince Charming?
